Exclusively Dogs KC is located in Grain Valley, MO and proudly serves the Eastern Jackson County area (including Buckner, Oak Grove, Odessa, Bates City, Lone Jack, Blue Springs, Independence, Lee's Summit and more). We are a unique experience for your dog. Your dog doesn't need to stay all day. We work to schedule appointments so we can start your dog when you arrive. We have an open environment/setting and lots of daylight while we groom. This allows us to be "with" your dog at all times. We proudly offer you nearly 40+ years of combined experience!
Owner, Michelle, ended a 30-year pharmaceutical administrative career in 2019 giving her the courage and background to start up her small grooming salon. She grew up with dogs and is a second generation, preservation breeder of Shetland Sheepdogs. She is a Regional Director and serves as a board member of the American Shetland Sheepdog Association. She is also a member of the Greater St. Louis Shetland Sheepdog Club and former member of the Greater KC club. Some of her most recent accomplishments in the AKC arena include the honor of prestigious recognition of a National Award of Merit at the 2023 American Sheltie National, along with previous National placements, earning titles on multiple Champions, multiple AKC Best in Specialty Show awards and winning the Herding Group multiple times. She is the proud breeder and owner of the 2022 #2 ranked Shetland Sheepdog of the AKC National Owner Handled Series. It is only natural that she brings her passion for showing and grooming to the grooming industry.
Kia brings two years of professional grooming experience to the team having worked her way from receptionist/bather to groomer at a previous grooming salon. She became part of our team in April, 2022 and brings a pleasant, caring, and happy approach to our team of groomers along with doing a fantastic job grooming.
William brings 13+ years of professional grooming experience and dog care to the team. He became part of our team in May, 2020. He is so patient and caring with each dog and specializes in special care for anxious or nervous dogs. He is grooming on Saturdays and provides excellent grooms and care for each dog he touches. We are lucky to have him on Saturdays!
We are excited to be growing and have so much grooming and dog care experience to share with our clients.
